The combined PowerBall jackpots will be worth more than R80 million in the draws on Friday, 24 June after both prizes rolled over recently.
The PowerBall jackpot will be worth an estimated R53 million while the PowerBall PLUS kitty sits at an estimated R30 million.
Charmaine Mabuza, the CEO of the national lottery operator, Ithuba, said players who win R250 000 and below will have their winnings deposited directly into their bank accounts if they purchased their tickets through the FNB and Nedbank banking apps.
“Players who win R50, 000 and above – through all other channels/platforms, will still be required to visit the ITHUBA regional offices to claim their winning,” said Mabuza in a statement on Friday.
The jackpots rolled over after Tuesday’s draws after no players matched five numbers plus the PowerBall in either draw.
However, in the PowerBall match field, two players walked away with R191 346, 90 after matching five numbers.
In the PB PLUS draw, two players also matched five numbers for a return of R82 479,90.
