Have you ever wanted the City to pay for the pothole damage caused to your vehicle tyre?

JOHANNESBURG ROADS AGENCY PROVIDES STEPS TO CLAIM POTHOLE DAMAGE

Look no further as the City of Johannesburg through its roads entity, Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA), has provided steps to claim from it.

“Report potholes to Johannesburg Roads Agency or email hotline@jra.org.za the street name, the nearest street corner, and the name of the suburb affected.”

HOW TO GO ABOUT NAVIGATING THE CLAIM PROCESS

Before emailing your claim, JRA requires you to download a copy of a Claims Form/ Public Liability Claims (damage to vehicle, property or personal injury).

The claim steps further reads:

We understand that a burst tyre or unexpected dent can set you back significantly. Even worse are accidents or injuries. If this damage is linked to the road infrastructure that we maintain in the City of Johannesburg you can file a claim for damages.

In order for your claim to be considered, please forward a completed Claim Form with applicable supporting documents as listed on the Form to:
