Police officer BRUTALLY gunned down in bed with his own firearm
Police said the 45-year-old officer, Mandlenkosi Happy Thwala, was found shot five times with his own firearm in his bed.

A 45-year-old police officer was found shot five times with his own firearm in his bed.
A NEIGHBOUR FOUND THE POLICE OFFICER ON WEDNESDAY MORNING
His alleged killer was arrested within 24 hours of his murder.
According to police spokesperson Brigadier Selby Mohlala the officer, Mandlenkosi Happy Thwala, was found BRUTALLY murdered in his home in Gedlembane, Pienaar on Wednesday morning.
“Police in Pienaar was called to attend to a scene at around 07:30 where a neighbour, alleges that she received a call from the mother of the member, requesting the neighbour to check on her son as she is suspecting that her son might have been murdered.
“Upon the police’s arrival, they found him motionless, laying in his bed with visible gunshot wounds on his body. He was shot five times allegedly with his service pistol, two times in the head and three times on his upper body.”

THE OFFICER WAS SHOT FIVE TIMES, TWICE IN THE HEAD AND THREE TIMES IN HIS BODY
Mohlala said a medical Service was summoned to the scene, but the officer was unfortunately certified dead on the scene.
“There were also two cartridges found on the floor, and his vehicle, green VW Polo Classic ( DSV 112 MP), as well as his service firearm and cellphone were missing but later discovered abandoned in the bushes.”

The police officer was stationed at Kabokweni SAPS.
He furthermore said a passerby approached police officers at a roadblock at Newscom in Pienaar. The person indicated to the members that he saw a firearm next to the road, a few meters from the roadblock.
A WOMAN WAS ARRESTED FOR HIS MURDER WITHIN 24HOURS
It was later discovered that the firearm belonged to the murdered police officer.
“A 29-year-old woman was arrested within 24 hours at Dayizenza hiding at her boyfriend’s house.
“A murder case with an additional charge of robbery was opened for investigation.”
