Police discovered two bodies in a house in Turflaagte

Police investigate the murder of two men who was found in bedrooms in a house in Thurflaagte in Mangaung.

Members of the South African Police discovered two bodies of two men in different bedrooms in a house in Turflaagte Township, the Free State.

POLICE SAYS BODIES WERE IN DIFFERENT ROOMS

According to police spokesperson Thabo Covane said bodies were found on Monday morning, 6 January 2023.

Covane said the Kopanong police in Mangaung, received a complaint that there were two bodies in a house in Turflaagte.

According to Covane, police dispatched a patrol vehicle to the house to attend to the complaint.

“On arrival, the police discovered the bodies of the men in different bedrooms.

THE BODIES HAD MULTIPLE STAB WOUNDS

“Both bodies had multiple stab wounds. The victims are 20-year-old Moeketsi van Breda and 25-year-old Gosiame Makhanya.”

The police appeal to anyone with information regarding the murders to come forward.

Covane said they are looking for information that can lead to the arrest of the murderers.

In another incident, a Durban father is accused of strangling his 9-year-old son.

The 29-year-old suspect allegedly strangled his son to death after he had a domestic argument with the boy’s mother.

According to the police, the boy’s body was found on 13 January 2023 at Shongweni Dam.

The father allegedly strangled his son with a string.

He then dumped the body in the bushes.

Police Spokesperson Mhlaba Memela said it is a tragedy that such a young child has lost his life.

“This incident is very concerning and speaks about our society.

“We will send a team of psychologists to support the families and call on law enforcement to deny him bail.
