It appears that the recent drama between Mosimane and Sundowns has it’s routes in something so much deeper.
When Jingles left The Brazilians, he left on bad terms – something not many people no about. He was hit with a lawsuit and an R8 MILLION fine!

Mosimane unceremoniously left Sundowns in 2020. According to Sunday World, this is the reason the club fined him.
It sounds pretty harsh given the magnitude of his achievements with Masandawana. He lead them to their first-ever CAF Champions League title in 2016 as well as a record five PSL titles.

Now, it makes sense why there is a bit of bad blood between Mosimane and Sundowns.
Recently, he lashed out at officials for their poor management of Al Ahly upon arrival. He stated that VAR should have been implemented and that his side were victims of underhand tactics used.

Meaning, he feels Sundowns officials deliberately planned to delay his side’s training session by forcing the AL Ahly team bus to use back routes.
He also felt ill-treated by supporters the last time he arrived in South Africa. There is certainly tension between Mosimane and his former club…

Thankfully, the law suit and fine has since been long resolved by both parties.
