Pastor MS Budeli, as per the poster title, shocked many after a poster of his upcoming Worship Conference consisted of strange and inflated prayer service fees.

PASTOR TO HOLD A 6 TO 6 WORSHIP CONFERENCE

The pastor, whose worship conference will take place on Christmas Day, 25 December from 6 am to 6pm, listed his special prayer service which included ‘to see God in Heaven for R20 000’.

OTHER PRAYER SERVICES BESIDE MEETING GOD

That is not all, the pastor will also be offering the following special prayer service:

  • To cancel all your debt for – R 5000
  • To get married the next day – R10 000
  • To be protected from crime – R20 000
  • To see your future in your phone – R20 000
  • To win aviator game – R300 000

It is unknown where this particular service will take place as the address was not mentioned on the poster. Instead of an address, the poster included a local cellphone number presumably for interested congregants to call in for more information.

FAITH LEADERS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE VULNERABLE

South Africa has had an influx of men and women masquerading as pastors and sadly the perpetrators’ shenanigans usually come out after congregants have been conned out of their investments by the so-called Men and Women of God.

Providing perspective, last year a pastor from the North West landed in hot water after he allegedly defrauded loyal church members of millions.

IOL reported that Pastor Seth Malefetsane Radebe, 47, of Sanctuary Haven was charged with fraud after his congregants lost R3 million after investing in his company, Sanctuary Haven Properties.

He reportedly convinced the congregants in 2013 to invest in his company, but never returned the investment. He was consequently arrested for fraud after a case was opened against him but was released on R10 000 bail.
It is unclear whether the congregants ever received a cent from the Radebe.
