Paramedics said a naked man was found bleeding profusely as his penis was partially cut off during an attack in Mslasini, KwaZulu-Natal, on Tuesday afternoon.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS MAN?

According to Reaction Unit SA (RUSA) spokesperson Prem Balram, the incident happened in Mslasini in Everest Heights.

“Members were called out to Mslasini in Everest Heights, on Tuesday afternoon after a naked man was found by residents bleeding profusely from his penis.

“Reaction Officers arrived on scene at approximately 17:52 and were informed that the man ran up to a crowd at the local tuck shop. He was in a state of shock and did not provide details of the attack,” said Balram.

He added that the man was also bleeding from blunt force injuries to his head, and his penis was partially cut off.

WAS THERE A MOTIVE FOR THE VICIOUS ATTACK?

The motive for the attack is unknown at this stage.

“Residents in the area provided clothing for the man who paramedics treated before being transported to hospital by ambulance.”

ANOTHER BRUTAL ATTACK IN KWAZULU-NATAL

On Monday, a 42-year-old man was hacked on his head during a robbery on Metcalf Road in Gandhi’s Hill, Tongaat.

Balram said they received a call from a passerby after a man was discovered in a pool of blood.

“On arrival, Reaction Officers found that the male was hacked on his head. The injured man’s brother arrived on the scene and informed officers that his sibling performed odd jobs in the Tongaat area.

THE MAN WAS HACKED AND ROBBED OF HIS SHOES

“After speaking to the victim, it was established that he was robbed of his shoes by three men. They then fled in an unknown direction.”

Balram added that the critically injured man was treated on the scene before he was transported to a hospital.

Police could not yet confirm the incidents or provide more details.
