Operation Dudula plans to camp outside schools in an effort to prevent undocumented foreign children and teachers to be part of day 1 of school.

Majority of schools across the province will start their 2023 academic year today, Wednesday, 11 January, following the festive break.
Schools in Gauteng both public and private cater to foreign nationals as formal staff and learners alike, and should the movement succeed with its plan, this may lead to the disruption of the first day of school in a number of institutions that they aim to target.
The organisation did not specify which areas or schools they intend to pay a visit to, but the group is no stranger to self-invitation without a prior appointment.
MOVEMENT UNDER ATTACK LAST YEAR
The stance taken by the movement to act against illegal immigrants has seen them being victims of vicious attacks.
This after an Operation Dudula member was fatally wounded in October 2022, when its members came under fire.
In a brief report, the movement said: “Unarmed Operation Dudula members at Sekhukhune branch were attacked this [morning] by a gang known as Thobejane that is believed to be Zimbabwean nationals. Multiple shots were fired and one patriot was killed.”
A bus that was travelling with the members of Operation Dudula was sprayed with bullets leaving it with shattered windows.
The movement has since called on the national government to declare a state of emergency on illegal immigrants working and living in the country. This as the group is convinced that the government has no political will to resolve illegal immigration in South Africa.
