1994 | Nelson Mandela is inaugurated as the first black president in South Africa. 

1995 | An elevator accident in Orkney, in the Northwest Province caused the deaths of more than 100 miners. 

2016 | ANC general meeting in Hammanskraal ended in chaos with one man shot and Maratola Primary School vandalised.

2017 | SABC wanted the Broadcasting Act changed for people to also pay TV licence for computers, cellphones, tablets.

2018 | One man died and two seriously injured when they were attacked in a mosque in Verulam, KwaZulu-Natal.
