2009 | A Colgan Air Flight 3407 plane crashed into a house at Clarence Centre, New York as it approached Buffalo Niagara International Airport, killing all on board and one the ground.

Duncan Edwards of Manchester United and England looked like the star of his generation but forget the wealth of the modern star player. After playing a domestic derby against Manchester City at Old Trafford on 12 February 1955 (which City won 5-0) he was later arrested by police riding home on his bike without lights. He was fined five bobs (25p) by a court and a two-week salary by Manchester United for tarnishing their reputation. He was tragically killed in Munich in 1958.
