A video of a smiling man armed with a machete attempting to hijack a vehicle has gone viral online.

The video was shared on TikTok earlier this week

Ash Massacre shared the video on TikTok earlier this week. Massacre was seated in the passenger seat of a car that was stuck in traffic in Queensland, Australia.

Taking to the video-sharing app, Massacre said the man ‘politely’ requested to be let inside the vehicle.

The video sent chills down the backs of many social media users due to the wide grin on the man’s face.

The machete-wielding man adorned a creepy smile

In the clip, he can be seen approaching the vehicle before tapping on the window with a large machete.

He displayed a wide smile on his face and attempted to open the backdoors of the vehicle but was fortunately unsuccessful.

The man then walked off into the street with the machete still in his hand.

The individual was arrested and is expected in court soon

The New Zealand Herald reported that Queensland Police were called to the scene and a 21-year-old man was arrested.

Police confirmed that the man was charged with the unlawful entry of motor vehicles, threatening violence and obstructing police.

He is expected to appear in court in December.
