Locals are baffled at a new pair of shoes that resemble orthopaedic boots and have a massive price tag.

These ‘trendy’ shoes are almost R7 000 and some are buying them

The Mschf AC.1 shoes are R6 999 and bare a striking resemblance to the boots used to protect fractured bones or support injuries to the leg, ankle or foot.

The orthopaedic boots typically sell for around R3 000 but these are sold individually given what they’re used for.
