The 2022 FIFA World Cup has fully taken center stage. Here’s Mamelodi Sundowns coach Steve Komphela in Qatar.

Any football fan with the financial means or connections is likely to be in Qatar. One of them is Mamelodi Sundowns coach Steve Komphela. Check out this video of him meeting his compatriots in the Asian nation.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS COACH KOMPHELA IN QATAR

Soon after lifting the Carling Black Label trophy this month, Komphela and his technical team confirmed heading to Qatar. But they probably did not expect to meet South Africans doing chef work in the Arab nation.

Komphela went over to social media to share a quick video wherein he met his countrymen on duty.

“We enjoyed great hospitality in #Qatar2022 by two great chefs from South Africa 🇿🇦,” the Sundowns coach said.

“They said they missing home. I-job yi-job bafowethu. Enjoy the World Cup experience. Qatar 🇶🇦 v Ecuador 🇪🇨: 20.11.2022,” he added.

KATLEGO MASHEGO WEIGHS IN ON RHULANI VS ERASMUS DRAMA

Staying with Sundowns, Pirates’ Erasmus was seen having an emotional go at coach Rhulani Mokwena at the FNB Stadium following a red card incident for Thapelo Xoki after a nasty tackle on Hashim Domingo.

The Sundowns mentor was left saying he was deeply disappointed in the player fondly known as ‘Romeo.’

The club’s former player Katlego Mashego has since offered his thoughts on the event. “I don’t know what happened, I don’t know what was said and triggered that but we can all hide behind emotions, but the respect between a player and coach should always be there,” Mashego said. Read the full story here.
