The history of International Fanny pack day

Nick Yates, in 2007, created International Fanny Pack Day after having a spontaneous interaction with a homeless man following a Christmas party.

During the event, Yates received this bag and a fruitcake as gag gifts, and he decided to wear the fanny pack and store the cake inside.
