Guinness World Records: Most watched man on television

American actor David Hasselhoff has the distinction of being the most-watched man on television of all time.

Having first come to public attention as Michael Knight in the popular US series Knight Rider he went on to star as LA County Lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in the series Baywatch, which at its 1996 peak had an estimated weekly audience of 1.1 billion viewers.
