PICS: Woman (43) pays man over R70 000 to lose virginity

A woman who hired a male escort to break her virginity is now speaking out about her experience and encouraging others to explore their sexuality. Melanie Hawkes, a 43-year-old woman from Australia, told the BBC about her first sexual encounter – including why she decided to finally do it.

Melanie has been wheelchair-bound since she was a child. She suffers from transverse myelitis, a disorder affecting the spinal cord. The condition left her as a quadriplegic with limited movement in her arms. Melanie, who works as a video editor, told the broadcaster that she never considered romance and intimacy due to her condition. She first experienced anything even remotely similar when she lived in Japan at age 19.

“I did meet a guy that I really liked. He was a year older than me, and he was busy with studies, and he was the head of the volunteer club at the university. The more feelings we got towards each other, the more people started to gossip,” she said.

‘NO ONE HAD EVER TOUCHED ME INTIMATELY …’

The thought of having sex with someone had not occurred to Melanie until December 2022 after receiving a massage from one of her support workers.

“No one had ever touched me intimately before, or maybe I was feeling vulnerable and sick of being isolated… That night when she put me to bed, I told her how she made me feel, and she said, ‘Have you ever thought of hiring a sex worker?’.”

It wasn’t long before Melanie was on the internet and came across a website where male escorts popped up. She saw a profile she liked – a handsome man named Chayse, who had studied sexology and had previously serviced clients with disabilities. They eventually met and had their first encounter – an erotic massage meant to ease her into the whole experience.

Chayse doesn’t come cheap and charges clients $265 an hour (over R5,100). They had a two-hour session in his apartment in January 2023, but Melanie said she realised she wanted more.

EX-VIRGIN NOW LOOKING FOR ROMANCE

Melanie continued to book Chayse for their sex romps – at least seven times, which means she has paid him more than R70 000 since their first encounter. She has praise for the sex maestro and said their sessions have genuinely boosted her confidence.

“It’s hard not to fall in love with Chayse. But I have to remind myself that it is a professional relationship,” she said.

Despite their meetings, Melanie said she is now looking for love and browsing various dating apps, hoping to meet a man.

“I’m [now] looking for a Chayse replacement. Somebody who loves me and loves what I like and does everything for free,” she said.
