North West Premier to deliver State of the Province Address

It’s all systems go for the delivery of the State of the Province Address (SOPA) by North West Premier Kaobitsa Bushy Maape, during the official opening of the North West Provincial Legislature led by Speaker Basetsana Dantjie.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM NORTH WEST PREMIER MAAPE ADDRESS

In the address, North West Premier Maape will highlight the government’s achievements in the previous financial year and pronounce on new government commitments which are aimed at speeding up service delivery, growing the economy and creating jobs.

The North West Premier will deliver the State of the Province Address on Friday, 24 February 2023 in the Legislature Chamber at 10h00.

FORMALITIES FOR STATE OF THE PROVINCE ADDRESS

“Members of the media are also invited to a compulsory Pre-SOPA Media Briefing Session on Thursday, 23 February 2023 in the Legislature Library at 15h00.”

During the session, the rules of the chamber will be outlined to all members of the media covering the SOPA and accreditations will be issued.

“All invited guests must be seated by 09h00. All vehicles should report to the remote search park at Mmabatho Stadium parking lot before entering the legislature premises. There will be regulated access in some roads around the legislature precinct.
SOPA will be broadcast live on the Office of the Premier, North West Provincial Government and North West Provincial Legislature social media platforms, as well as on Motsweding FM, YOU FM, community radio stations in the province and other communication platforms,” the North West Provincial Government outlined.

KZN OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE LEGISLATURE

Meanwhile, all roads lead to the Official Opening of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature tomorrow, Thursday, 23 February which will be attended by His Majesty, King MisuZulu KaZwelithini. This event will be followed by the State of the Province Address by KZN Premier, Nomusa Dube on Friday, 24 February 2023.
