No confidence motion: Time, date, and live stream for huge Cabinet vote
The DA reckons President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Cabinet has failed in its duties and is pinning its hopes on the motion to get ministers ousted

It’s all system go for the motion of no confidence vote against President Cyril Ramaphosa‘s own Cabinet. Ahead of the no confidence motion, the Democratic Alliance (DA), which tabled it, released an assessment of the ministers currently leading portfolios.
The assessment revolves around how the ministers are doing in terms of their performance agreements with Ramaphosa. The party created a petition titled “Cabinet must go”, which demands the firing of certain ministers the party claims are incompetent.
These include: Gwede Mantashe, Lindiwe Sisulu, Thulas Nxesi, Ebrahim Patel, Angie Motshekga and Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams. So far, the petition has garnered nearly 17 500 signatures.
“We believe given the state of destruction being brought in our economy by the incompetence, indifference and corruption of ministers, we have no other choice and must use the mechanism the constitution has provided us with to be able to do so,” said DA leader John Steenhuisen.

WHERE, WHEN AND HOW TO WATCH THE CABINET VOTE
Both the motions of no confidence (one in President Cyril Ramaphosa and the other in his Cabinet) will be debated then voted on on Wednesday, 30 March 2022 at Parliament’s Good Hope Chamber. Proceedings are expected to get underway at exactly 14:00, so set those reminders!
As to how you can watch all the highly-anticipated Parliamentary action, the National Assembly sitting is expected to be taken live on DSTV’s Parliament TV, which is Channel 408. The country’s three news networks, eNCA (403), SABC News (404) and Newzroom Afrika (405) will likely also broadcast proceedings, so you’ll be spoilt for choice, for sure.
