New Golf R 333 Limited Edition: Volkswagen teases 245kW super hatch

The Golf R 333 is Volkswagen’s ultimate iteration of the flagship hatch with over 240kW and 420Nm and a zero to 100km/h time of 4.5 seconds.

Volkswagen’s latest super hatch is the Golf R 333. There’s hint in its designation with “333” pointing towards its power output in PS or the equivalent of 245kW.

The German carmaker posted a Youtube video showcasing the model replete in a yellow hue. According to Motor1, the limited edition It is fitted with 19-inch wheels, an Akrapovič exhaust with four tailpipes. Blue brake calipers pierce through the huge wheels.

Other styling element unique to the “333” include black decals on the lower side of the doors and side mirror housings finished in black.

The Golf R 333 is powered by a tweaked version of brand’s ubiquitous 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 245kW and 420Nm.

The Golf R 333 uses a four-wheel-drive system and a seven-speed DSG. The Golf R 333 model is likely to be a continuation of the 20 Years Edition that Volkswagen launched in 2022.

Driving the Golf R “20 Years, racing driver Benjamin Leuchter beat the previous record for a Golf R on the Nürburgring Nordschleife by four seconds.

He took just 7:41.31 minutes to complete one lap of the 20.832-km track in the Eifel region – and thus officially made the anniversary model the fastest Volkswagen R of the last two decades.
