Waterfall City has opted to be one of many establishments to defy the message of the EFF demanding the shut down of all businesses on the National Shutdown, Monday, 20 March.

WATERFALL CITY CEO RELEASES A STATEMENT FOR THE RESIDENTS

In a statement, CEO of Waterfall Management Company Willie Vos wrote to his Residents about security measures being taken to bring ease to those opting to follow their orders.

“We acknowledge that there are major concerns regarding the ‘National Shutdown’ that was announced by the EFF. Scheduled for the 20 March 2023.

Waterfall City will not be shutting down, and will be operational on the day,” Vos said.

“Waterfall City has collectively prepared for this well in advance.”

ON THE NATIONAL SHUTDOWN SECURITY MEASURES

The CEO said these preparations include the activation of the Central Incident and Event Management (CIEM) protocol, substantial security countermeasures as well as the deployment of Riot Units for the whole of Waterfall City.

“At 09:00 this morning, there was a security coordination briefing where all sites, estate and security managers, as well as providers, law enforcement and stakeholders, were briefed. One of the outcomes of this briefing was the establishment of the CIEM communication and coordination channel,” Vos explained.

RELEVANT COMMUNICATIONS TO BE RELAYED ABOUT THE MARCH

“One of the primary purposes of this channel will be the constant and systematic posting of relevant situational and threat intelligence and advisories, in near-real-time to your management structure for immediate distribution via your own official channels, to you.

This will not be a minute-by-minute, blow-by-blow news reel. These will be pertinent intelligence bulletins. The objective is to avoid sensationalism, mis and disinformation, and/or misdirection. Our primary objective is to be as pro-active as possible,” Vos further explained.

“Please heed advisories as issued and take care when travelling beyond Waterfall City boundaries on the day,” he concluded.
