King Dalindyebo ‘will vote EFF’ – after Malema gifts him a new Mercedes

With just a week to go until the 2021 Local Elections, EFF leader Julius Malema knows as well as anyone else that every vote counts – but his powers of persuasion have managed to get abaThembu King Dalindyebo on board, too. In fact, Juju’s gift to the royal certainly helped grease the (new set of) wheels…

What car did Julius Malema give King Dalindyebo?

That’s because Malema decided to hand over a new Mercedes SUV to the abaThembu ruler. The present, announced at an EFF rally on Sunday in Mthatha, was the icing on the cake to gain King Dalindyebo’s favour.

Dalindyebo, who spoke to thousands of people in attendance, encouraged his followers to also back the EFF, after he categorically stated he’d be voting for the Red Berets when the polls open on Monday 1 November.

EFF thank abaThembu leader for his support

The EFF, meanwhile, say they welcome Dalindyebo’s support with ‘the greatest humilty’, and praised the King for showing faith in the party’s mission. And after all, nothing says ‘thank you for believing in us’ quite like a new Mercedes does…
