Military Police murder accused WANTED for questioning

An identikit of a person of interest in the murder of a Military Police officer in Tembisa has been made public. Here’s how to report him:

A person of interest in the murder of a Military Police officer in Tembisa has been publicised and your help is required in identifying him.

MILITARY POLICE KILLER IDENTIKIT RELEASED

On Monday, 22 November 2022, a case of murder was opened by the Tembisa police, where a 52-year-old male victim Xolile Nicholas Shuta, who was a Military Police, stationed at O.R. Tambo International Airport in the Military Police Division was shot and killed at his home in Mqantsa Section, Tembisa.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE VICTIM

It was alleged by the witness that on the day of the incident, two unknown men entered the yard and asked if there is a back room for rental, while the witness was still informing them that there isn’t, her uncle emerged from the house, the suspects also asked him the same question, but before he could respond, both suspects pulled out firearms and started shooting at him multiple times and fled the scene in a Blue Volkswagen Polo, registration number unknown.

Spokesperson for Tembisa Police Station Sergeant Patricia Mgijima said that one of the suspects was wearing a white t-shirt with a white bucket hat and has a full gold tooth.

“He is dark in complexion, short and medium built.”

“Anyone who can identify the suspect on the identikit, is urged to call Tembisa police on (011) 920-8000 or Detective Sergeant Refiloe Malubana on 067 949 2219 or anonymously call 08600 10111 or contact the police on the social media page, MySAPS,” she urged.

Sergeant Patricia further advised members of the community not to approach the suspect as he is armed.
