Mrs South Africa 2016, Candice Abrahams, has been named Mrs World 2016 at the Mrs World pageant held in China over the weekend.
Candice is the first South African to have been crowned Mrs World. In 2014 former Mrs South Africa, Sarah-Kate Scott, was crowned first runner-up.
Candice is a fashion blogger and model from Honeydew, Johannesburg.
Candice wore a ‘national costume’ symbolic of South African wildlife.
According to her Facebook page the dress showcases the “grace of the leopard and the headpiece showcases the elegance of our national bird, The Blue Crane”.
