Sifiso is achieving high praise for his efforts regarding the return of a stranger’s wallet.
Ian Edwards lost his wallet last Friday outside the Sunningdale Medical Centre in Durban. Sifiso found the wallet and took it home in order to try and find a phone number of the owner.
When Sifiso’s efforts to contact the owner failed, he bought some board and made a sign that indicated that a Mr IC Edwards had lost his wallet and then stood at robots in the area, on his day off, determined to make contact with Ian.
The post has been liked and shared by thousands of South Africans, who believe that Sifiso is not the only South African trying to make a difference. There are several stories coming in about other people who have experienced the kind-heartedness of strangers.
Gauteng PR specialist Georg Knoke says, “This is the true spirit of South Africa… Bravo!”
