A 26-year-old man has reportedly died after he was stabbed to death at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Highveld Mall, Mpumalanga.

A 26-year-old man has died after he was allegedly stabbed by another male inside McDonald’s fast food services at Highveld Mall in Mpumalanga. 

The Witbank police have requested the assistance of the community to trace and arrest an unknown suspect who stabbed and killed the 26-year-old. 

MAN STABBED TO DEATH AT MPUMALANGA MCDONALD’S 

The incident reportedly happened in the early hours of Saturday morning, 18 June 2022.

Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said according to initial information the incident occurred at about 04:20 when the two men were inside the Mc Donald’s Highveld mall when a dispute arose between the two men regarding a food order.

Mohlala said the unknown male suspect took out a sharp object and stabbed the victim.

“The suspect ran away from the scene leaving his vehicle, a red golf, on the scene. Paramedics arrived on the scene but the victim was declared dead.

“Anyone with information regarding the murder  suspect can contact the investigating officer Lieutenant Colonel Jurie Steyn on 0826008529 on or the national crime stop number on 08600 10111.”

CENTRE CONFIRMS MUGG & BEAN SHOOTING INCIDENT

In May, a man was shot dead inside Mugg & Bean at the Christians Village Shopping Centre in Hillcrest, outside of Durban. 

In a brief statement Christians Village Shopping Centre said it can confirm that a man was shot dead by a customer sitting at his table at Mug n Bean. 

“The suspect has been taken in by SAPS Hillcrest. Our condolences go out to the family and to the shoppers who witnessed this devastating scene. Christians Village is open for trade and the scene has been isolated.”

Earlier this month, a local businessman was shot multiple times on Thursday morning as he dined at the Tasha’s restaurant in Rosebank Mall, Johannesburg. It was suspected that he was the victim of an ‘alleged hit-job’, leaving dozens of patrons horrified.
