Limpopo Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has ordered a well-coordinated manhunt for the suspect(s) who allegedly shot a man execution-style in front of his gate at Ntwane Maswikaneng village under the Dennilton policing area.

The 34-year-old man was murdered on Wednesday morning, 1 February 2023.

MAN SHOT EXECUTION-STYLE OUTSIDE HIS GATE

South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson in Limpopo, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, said the victim had arrived home just after midnight, driving in a vehicle when he was shot point blank in front of his home gate, allegedly.

Mojapelo said police members on patrol duties responded to a shooting incident complaint. On arrival at the scene, they found the man in a pool of blood inside his motor vehicle, a Toyota Avanza.

“A preliminary probe conducted at the scene indicated that the assailants shot the victim several times at point-blank range,” he said.

The Provincial Commissioner said the killers must be hunted down until they are caught and brought to book.

“This incident has sent cold waves to the local community, and I want to assure everyone that the Police are doing everything to find the killers. Like the Mokopane incident in which two people were shot at point blank and killed while sitting in a motor vehicle, the suspects were ultimately arrested. Even in this case, the assailants will be arrested,” Hadebe said.
