Man murdered- shot multiple times with severe blunt force trauma to face

A man with multiple gunshot wounds and severe blunt force trauma to the face was discovered dumped on the side of the road.

THE MAN WAS FOUND DUMPED IN A FETAL POSITION

According to Reaction Unit SA (RUSA) spokesperson Prem Balram, the man was found in a fetal position in the overgrown grass next to the road on Old Main Road in Inyaninga.

A passerby made the GRUESOME discovery at around 08:44 on Saturday.

“Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance from a passerby at approximately 08:44 after he made the discovery.

“On arrival, the deceased was discovered in a fetal position in the overgrown grass next to the road. His clothes were drenched in blood.”

HIS CLOTHES WERE DRENCHED IN BLOOD

Balram said upon examination, the man was found to have sustained gunshot wounds to his chest, back and shoulder. He also suffered blunt force trauma to his face.

The man is believed to have been dumped at the location.

Meanwhile, also on Saturday, a 22-year-old man was killed, and his girlfriend was injured during a shooting incident at the Cornubia flats in Cornubia.

Balram said members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene by the South African Police at approximately 04:21, requesting medical assistance for the couple.

ANOTHER MAN WAS SHOT AND KILLED IN AN UNRELATED ATTACK

“On arrival, RUSA Medics examined an unresponsive man who was located on the side of the road. He sustained a single gunshot wound to his head and demised on the scene.

“His 26-year-old girlfriend was treated for a gunshot wound to her left buttock before being transported to a medical facility by ambulance.”

He said the woman explained that a lone gunman accosted her and her boyfriend shortly after walking home from a local tavern.

A LONE GUNMAN ACCOSTED THE WOMAN AND HER BOYFRIEND

“The suspect demanded that the woman follow him into a dense bush where she believed that he intended to rape her. She attempted to flee while her boyfriend fought off their attacker.

“During the scuffle, shots were fired, killing the man and injuring the woman. The suspect then fled into a dense bush.”
