CHILD OPENS UP ABOUT RAPE ORDEAL

According to police spokesperson Captain Xoli Mbele, the accused, Chinjeke raped a neighbour’s child while she was five years old from 2017 until she was eight years old in 2020 at Kibler Park.

“On 5 February 2020, the victim (8) was playing in the house of the accused with his children when he grabbed her into his storeroom.

“He raped the girl three times on that day,”

said Mbele.

He explained that the girl went back home and took a bath, and her mother realised that she was not walking properly.

The mother then interrogated her daughter and she revealed the ordeal.

Chinjeke was then apprehended on 9 February 2020 at Kibler Park.

“A good conviction is a result of diligent work done by the Investigating Officer Sergeant Petronella Mathevula of Johannesburg Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offenses Unit (FCS).

“We hope this sentence will scare away would-be offenders from abusing children.”

said Mbele.
