“Provincial Organised Crime Unit immediately commenced with the investigation which led them to the suspect’s hideout in Wolmaransstad.”

Sello said the firearm used to commit the crime was recovered with 15 live rounds of 9mm ammunition, three shotgun rounds, two knives, and blood-stained clothes.

The hijacked vehicle was also found abandoned by Wolmaransstad police.

“No stone will be left unturned in ensuring that all crimes threatening the safety and security of communities and their properties are investigated and that offenders are brought to justice as mandated by the Constitution of our country,” said Du Plooy.
