The Organisation for Undoing Tax Abuse (OUTA) announced on Friday that Makhosi Khoza had resigned from the organisation.

In a press statement, OUTA said:

“Makhosi has added immense value to OUTA over the past nine months, in her input and positioning of OUTA’s Local Government strategy,” said Wayne Duvenage, OUTA’s CEO.

What next for Makhosi Khoza

There is some speculation that Khoza might look to get actively involved in politics again, but OUTA said the reason for her resignation was to devote her full-time attention to “advance her work and research into African languages as well as to pursue other avenues to bring about much-needed change in South Africa”.

Khoza will remain as OUTA ambassador

OUTA thanked Khoza for the time she spent with the organisation, saying she offered valuable insights, helping them understand the mechanics of government.

OUTA added:

“This was a very amicable parting and Makhosi has indicated that she will still act as an ambassador for OUTA’s work and will still be available to consult with us and assist OUTA in its work to rectify the decline of local government.”
