Wait before logging service requests

Furthermore, the City explained that load-shedding often leads to a spike in reports on tripping. Residents were urged to be patient when the power fails to return on time during load-shedding, due to the matter likely already being attended to by technicians.

“Eskom’s load-shedding typically leads to increased service requests due to nuisance tripping. Please wait at least 30 minutes before logging a service request alerting the City that the power in your area has not come back after load-shedding. Often, the issue is already being attended to.”
