Eskom announced that MORE load shedding is planned – this means that Stage 3 load shedding would continue until further notice.

LOAD SHEDDING IS PLANNED FOR SATURDAY AND WEEKEND

The power utility said the delay in the return to service of a generating unit each at Duvha, Grootvlei, Kendal and two units at Turtuka power stations, as well as breakdowns at a unit each at Kusile and Komati power stations, have necessitated this escalation of load shedding.

“Currently, there are no unit in service at Kusile Power Station due to the breakdowns on three units while one unit is out of service on planned maintenance.”
