South Africans have been left shocked by developments in Polokwane on Wednesday, after four brothers – aged between 6-15 – were kidnapped by an armed gang earlier this morning. This shocking act of criminality has caught the attention of Julius Malema, and he wants EFF members to do something about it.

The Moti family, especially parents Nazim and Shakira, have been left devastated by these events, and their four boys still remain missing as of 15:45 on Wednesday. Police say they are ‘stepping up their efforts’ to locate the youngsters.

Family lawyer expects ‘ransom demand’ for Moti brothers

Meanwhile, family lawyer Philip Smit told Jacaranda FM that they suspect the Moti boys have been taken because they’re going to be used to make a ransom demand. He did, however, express that this was his ‘personal opinion’.

“There were no calls yet made by the criminals, so we do not know what the plan is, but we suspect it is a type of a ransom situation. That’s all we can think of at this stage. That’s a personal opinion. I’m not willing to divulge any information with regards to that but we’ve got good reason to believe it might be.” | Philip Smit

Although the police and the Moti family have pleaded with the public already to come forward with any information they may have about the kidnapped brothers, Juju felt it was important to rally the Red Berets – just for good measure.
