KZN weather: Disruptive rain, flood warning issued in province

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) said residents of KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) should expect substantial rainfall on Monday, 6 September. The forecaster said the rain could lead to flooding in parts of the province.
KZN WEATHER WARNING
The SAWS issued Yellow Level 2 warning for disruptive rain in KZN on Monday. The disruptive rain could lead to localised flooding of both formal and informal settlements in susceptible areas in the southern and central parts of the province where driving conditions are also expected to be difficult.
The affected areas include Durban, Howick, Kokstad, Port Shepstone, Scottburgh, Greytown and Ladysmith. The Yellow Level 2 warning also applies to the extreme eastern parts of the Eastern Cape.
“Cloudy and cool but cold in places over the southern interior. Isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers are expected, but widespread in the south where disruptive rainfall is expected,” said SAWS in a regional weather forecast for KwaZulu-Natal on Monday.
