KwaZulu Natal: 18-year-old male raped during robbery

An 18-year-old man from Oakford in KwaZulu Natal was allegedly raped last Saturday after three suspects realised the victim had no valuables to snatch off him.

The three suspects searched the young man before dragging him into a bush for the sexual assault on the KwaZulu Natal farm.

VICTIM WAS FOUND WITH TIED HANDS & LEGS

The victim was heard screaming by a local resident at around 15:21. The resident called KwaZulu Natal’s Reaction Unit South Africa, who later arrived to find the victim with his hands and legs tied in a bush.

He was found by the law officials with his pants pulled down.

“A resident in the area contacted RUSA for assistance at 15:21 after hearing a male calling out for assistance. Reaction Officers converged on the area and discovered the teenager in a bush off the main road,” Reaction United SA reported on Facebook.

“His hands and legs were bound with cable ties. His pants was pulled down. Officers freed him from his restraints.”

VICTIM WAS WALKING ALONE IN THE KWAZULU NATAL FARM AREA

According to the report’s added details, the 18-year-old victim was walking by himself when the three attackers appeared with a knife. He was searched and after the suspects discovered zero valuable items, they allegedly dragged him into a bush.

Two suspects helped to restrain the victim while one of them proceed to rape the young KwaZulu Natal victim.

“The victim explained that he was walking along the main road when he was accosted by three individuals. One person produced a knife while his accomplices searched him for valuables,” RUSA said.

“After they discovered that he had nothing of value on him, the robbers dragged him into a bush where they bound his hands and legs.”

“They then covered his head before pulling down his pants. Two suspects held the victim down while the third suspect allegedly raped him. The robbers then fled in an unknown direction.”
