Kourtney Kardashian breaks silence over Travis Barker’s hospitalisation

Reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian is finally speaking out nearly a week after she had to rush her husband Travis Barker to hospital for a medical emergency.

Barker had to be admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles for pancreatis, which may have been triggered by a colonoscopy. He has since assurred his fans that he is on the mend and is set to make a recovery.

In a statement released on her Instagram, Kourtney Kardashian said she had had a “scary and emotional” week because of Travis Barker’s hospitalisation.

“Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change. Travis and I went in for a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis. I am so grateful to God for healing my husband, for all of your prayers for him and for us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support. I am so touched and appreciative. I am so thankful to our specialists, doctors, and nurses at Cedars Sinai for taking such wonderful care of my husband and me during our stay,” she wrote.

Kardashian has also called out the paparazzi for selling pictures of her during that traumatic period.

Kardashian, 43, and Barker, 46, got engaged in October 2021 after dating for less than a year. For Barker, part of the rock band Blink-182, this is his third marriage – He was married to Melissa Kennedy for just nine months before they divorced in 2002. Travis then married Shanna Moakler in 2004 and the pair split in 2008. The pair have two children together – Landon (18) and Alabama (16).

This is Kourtney’s first marriage. She was previously in an on-and-off relationship with the father of her kids, Scott Disick for 10 years. The pair have three children together – Mason (12), Penelope (9) and Reign (7).
