The Pro rally driver Ken Block (55), who died earlier this week, shared an eerie post on his social media days before his death.

KEN BLOCK SHARED AN EERIE POST DAYS BEDORE HIS DEATH

Ken, whose daring stunts made him an internet sensation, died in a snowmobile accident on Monday, 2 January 2023, at approximately 14:00 in Wasatch County, Utah. He was 55 years old.

Ken had been sharing stories from his Instagram earlier that day and in the days leading up to his death.

HE SHARED CHRISTMAS WITH HIS FAMILY IN UTAH

He shared Christmas with his family on an ‘epic holiday trip’ just days before he died at the Baldface ranch in Utah. 

This is the eerie post he made a day or two before his death: 

Craig Kelly died on 20 January 2003 near Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada, in an avalanche that trapped eight people and killed six others

 Craig guided a group of skiers and riders in the Revelstoke area of British Columbia. The group was caught in an avalanche. Tragically, Craig Kelly and six others did not survive.

The Craig Kelly memorial is a 10-ft welded steel sword handle, with coloured glass set within and a prayer wheel made from local yew wood beneath. It was unveiled on 20 January 2013.

WHAT HAPPENED ON MONDAY WITH HIS ACCIDENT? 

The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office said the Wasatch County 911 Center received a call reporting a snowmobile accident in the Mill Hollow area.

“Search and Rescue, along with law enforcement from Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office, Utah State Parks, and the US Forest Service, responded.

“The driver, Kenneth Block, a 55-year-old male out of Park City, Utah, was riding a snowmobile on a steep slope when the snowmobile upended, landing on top of him. He was pronounced deceased at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident.”

His team Hoonigan Racing confirmed the devasting news in a statement on Instagram.

“Ken was a visionary, a pioneer, and an icon. And most importantly, a father and husband. He will be incredibly missed,” it said.

KEN BLOCK STARTED HIS RALLYING CAREER IN 2005

Ken was named Rookie of the Year in the Rally America Championship as he began his rallying career in 2005. 

He competed in the World Rally Championship and won several rallycross medals at the X Games.

The American also cofounded the sportswear company DC Shoes and produced the Gymkhana video series, which featured him driving on dangerous tracks and obstacle courses. The series racked up millions of views on YouTube.
