Remember Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane in a Kaizer Chiefs jersey? A legend of this generation, and he’s now taken a less-traveled path.

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Reneilwe Letsholonyane has decided to take a road many ex-players have never taken.

KAIZER CHIEFS’ FORMER STAR YEYE FINISHED UEFA PROGRAM

Following his emotional and widely acclaimed retirement in July 2021 at the age of 39, the former number eight has needed less than a year to earn a UEFA accreditation.

According to the report, the former Kaizer Chiefs star has attained a UEFA Assist Program certificate. What is it?

“According to UEFA, the Assist program is designed to contribute to the global development of football by working with the European organisation’s five sister confederations and their member associations,” Kick Off reported.

“These confederations include AFC (Asia), CAF (Africa), CONCACAF (North and Central America), CONMEBOL (South America), and the OFC (New Zealand and South Pacific island nations).”

It is impossibly hard to predict the Soweto-born stars’ future at this moment, but we would certainly not mind seeing former players of his experience working at places like SAFA and CAF.

AMAKHOSI YET TO DECIDE ON SIX SENIOR PLAYER CONTRACTS

In related news, Kaizer Chiefs are yet to sort out the futures of no less than six senior players in the PSL team.

Firstly there is one thing we all know, if a player is delivering the goods on the green grass, the club will offer a new contract as soon as possible.

For six Kaizer Chiefs players, the club has not moved fast to table new deals.

The same situation also suggests that Amakhosi do not fear the possibility of one or two players signing pre-contracts elsewhere.

Are the club suggesting they are willing to lose these players? Read the full story here.
