THIS COMES SHORTLY AFTER THE KIDNAPPING OF THE MOTI BROTHERS

This comes a week after the four kidnapped Moti brothers were reunited with their parents. They were missing for three weeks after they were kidnapped en route to their school in Limpopo.

The four Moti brothers were allegedly dropped off next to a road in Vuwani by their kidnappers.

The boys – Zidan, Zayyad, Alaan, and Zia Moti – all aged between 6 -15, were abducted on their way to school in Polokwane at approximately 07:00 on Wednesday 20 October 2021. Seven men with R5 rifles and handguns cornered their vehicle and forcefully removed them.

According to media reports, a family spokesperson Nazir Osman said the Moti family has appealed to the public to take caution in sharing any unsubstantiated or misleading information following the return of the four missing Moti brothers.

“As the investigation is ongoing, any speculation at this time could be harmful to the course of justice – the outcome of which could prevent this unscrupulous crime from happening to another family and their children.

“The family said they were astounded by the outpouring of kindness and care shown by South Africans.

“This ordeal has been extremely traumatic for the boys and the entire Moti family; we humbly request that the public respect and uphold their privacy as they rest and recuperate,” he said.

Police furthermore said the investigation into the case of kidnapping is still continuing.
