Retired journalist Jeremy Gordin was killed on Friday night at his home in Parkview, Johannesburg, in what was reportedly said to be a “robbery gone wrong.”
According to reports, Gordin’s family was in Cape Town and grew concerned when Gordin was unresponsive to messages on Friday night.
It is believed a friend gained access to Gordin’s home – which had been locked from the outside – and found it had been ransacked and his body had been covered.

“I don’t have full details at the moment because I’m in Cape Town,”
she said.

Police spokesperson Col Mavela Masondo confirmed a case of house robbery, and murder had been opened.
“No arrests have been made yet, but an investigation and manhunt for the suspects are underway”.
