Two job seekers were robbed of two cellphones and R30 in cash while they were walking through a pathway in KwaZulu-Natal

On Thursday, 16 February, two men confronted three job seekers walking through a pathway from Missionlands to Everest Heights in KwaZulu-Natal and robbed them of their valuables.

Job seekers robbed of their valuables

The victims reported the incident to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), a local security firm, at around 11:36.

Reaction officers responded to the scene.

One victim fought off the attackers, while the other two women fled.

The suspects brandished knives and stole two cellphones and R30 in cash.

The victim who resisted sustained minor injuries.

Reaction officers conducted a thorough search for the robbers, but they could not make any arrests.

When the robbery occurred, the victims had been searching for employment and were taking a shortcut to Mhlasini.
