How much you’ll pay for petrol and diesel at the COAST from midnight TONIGHT

The Department of Energy on Tuesday confirmed the petrol and diesel price changes for December 2022 – and there was both good and bad news.

The changes will come into effect from midnight tonight, Tuesday, 6 December.

There was early Christmas cheer for diesel drivers with prices set to decrease by between R1.52 and R1.57 per litre.

However, petrol prices will see a hike of 59 cents per litre for both 93 and 95 octanes.

Prices will be adjusted as follows:

| Diesel 0.05% | decrease of 157 cents per litre |
| Diesel 0.005% | decrease of 152 cents per litre |
| Illuminating Paraffin (wholesale) | decrease of 57 cents per litre |
| LPGAS | increase of 95 cents per kilogram |
