As a student, productivity may be a difficult goal to achieve when you’re stuck at home and not attending classes on campus.

This might sound like a paradox, since when you are at home there is nothing to distract your attention. Right? However, this does not seem to be the case.

Being at home and not at your varsity residence, has an impact on your productivity levels. At home, you are more relaxed and carefree, which is why students can easily fail at being productive behind the books.

Some tips to help keep your productivity levels where they should be while studying remotely from home:

Plan your day

The saying ” If you fail to plan, you plan to fail” is very true. Planning is important when you want to be productive. It helps you focus, prioritise, and manage your time wisely. When you plan beforehand, everything else becomes easier.

And be realistic with your planning and work in some study breaks, so you can remain fresh throughout the day.

Map a study plan and stick to it

Creating and following a study plan can help you become more organised, efficient and punctual. So, map out a study plan on some paper and stick to it!

Get enough sleep

The correct quality and quantity of sleep leads to a sharper brain and greater productivity. Ensuring that you get enough good sleep can boost your learning abilities and to absorb important information.

It will also improve your concentration so your mind won’t go wandering when you are supposed to put in the hours behind the books.

Set deadlines

It is very easy to procrastinate or get distracted when you don’t stick to deadlines. Setting yourself a deadline, helps you to successfully break down your given tasks and assignments as it ensures that you stay motivated and focused.

Let’s face it: When you have a deadline, you are encouraged to complete your work on time.
