One tragically killed, 16 injured in high speed collision in Durban
The driver of the light delivery vehicle died on scene while 16 passengers were injured in a high speed collision on North Coast Road.

One person was killed while scores were injured in a high speed collision on North Coast Road in Durban on Monday.
The collision involved a minibus taxi and a light delivery vehicle at the intersection of Chris Hani Road and Victor Roads in the Avoca area north of Durban.
HIGH SPEED COLLISION IN NORTH COAST ROAD
According to Emer-G-Med, when paramedics arrived on the scene, an on scene triage area was established by scene commanders and it was established that as many as sixteen people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.
“The driver of a Ford bantam bakkie suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead on arrival of paramedics. The injured were treated and stabilised on scene before being taken to various nearby hospitals by ambulances for further treatment.”

ONE KILLED IN M2, BOBOYI
In a separate incident, one person was killed while three others were critically injured in a collision on M2 Boboyi in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN). The incident happened on Sunday night.
According to Arrive Alive, when emergency services arrived they found that two vehicles had been involved in a collision.
Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that one patient sustained critical injuries and was trapped in a vehicle. Two further patients had sustained serious injuries.
“Together with Ray Nkonyeni Fire and Rescue services, Paramedics stabilised the patients and extricated the trapped patient using specialised rescue equipment. The patients were transported to hospital for further treatment.”
