Here’s why circling potholes won’t work in Cosmo City

Circling potholes and writing the words ‘ANC’ next to them seems to be a working formula to get action from government, BUT NOT FOR ALL!

Circling potholes and writing the words ‘ANC’ next to them seems to be a working formula to get action from government.

CIRCLING POTHOLES A NEW WAY TO GET THEM FIXED

This trend has seemingly become the only way to get the government to take action and fix them!

Last month, a man tired of potholes, shared a TikTok video of himself circling them as he came across any, leaving an ‘ANC’ mark beside them.
The next day, the holes were fixed.
The same man shared a video of municipal workers fixing them.

HERE’S WHY THIS TRICK CANNOT WORK IN COSMO CITY

While this trick helped the man in getting them fixed, most tiresome South Africans have vowed to continue the trend. However, if you stay in a place like Cosmo City, your spray paint might run out as quicker than expected due to the seriousness of the potholes in that community.

NAVIGATING THE TOUGHEST ROADS

Since the recent flash floods, motorists in Cosmo City have had a tough time navigating around the riddle roads, with many collapsed by trenches running water unabated.

A drive around the main routes such as South Africa Drive and Central Africa Republic Avenue is a nightmare. You don’t only have to sit on the edge of your seat and constantly observe the congested routes but you to cautiously drive in between the pavement and pieces of the remaining road surface to avoid hitting a pothole or falling into a trench.

Again, you have to think twice before embarking on such a cause in an area with hundreds of potholes.
