The City of Tshwane said multiple reservoirs, fire hydrants, primary schools, clinics and other locations that receive water from the Temba Treatment Plant were tested.

This means that the water that is distributed via the municipality’s bulk water distribution network in Hammanskraal does not have cholera present in it.

The City of Tshwane this does not mean that the water is safe to drink as it is treated heavily with Chlorine.

Meanwhile, angry residents who had gathered outside the Jubilee District Hospital in Hammanskraal on Monday, 22 May chased away Mayor Cilliers Brink saying it is too late for him to intervene as the cholera outbreak has claimed 15 lives. The water crisis has been ongoing for years now.

Brink said the incident was orchestrated by the opposition in the City of Tshwane.
