Busy Monday for Gauteng police

This comes on the same day where another suspect in Snake Park was nabbed with marijuana and drugs.
Gauteng community safety MEC Faith Mazibuko says police in Ekurhuleni acted on a tip-off in carrying out the arrest.

Elsewhere, another intelligence-driven bust was made in Vanderbijlpark, where four unlicensed firearms and ammunition were discovered.

The police also confiscated what appeared to be diamonds at the scene.

“The stones are still to be tested,” said Captain Kay Makhubele. “The firearms will be sent to Forensic Science Laboratory for ballistic testing, to determine if the firearms might have been used to commit other crimes,” added Makhubele.
