Rapper ‘French Montana’ releases a statement following a shooting at the celebration of the release of his ‘CB6’ mixtape on Thursday night

Multi-award-winning Moroccan-American rapper French Montana, is counting his blessings after what was meant to be a celebration of his big milestone, turned ugly on Thursday evening.

A SHOOTING LEAVES 10 PEOPLE INJURED AT MONTANA’S CELEBRATION


According to CNN, at least 10 people were injured outside a Miami Gardens Florida restaurant on Thursday night, where the rapper was celebrating the release of his CB6 mixtape. MDFR informed the outlet that emergency units were sent to the scene shortly before 8 pm ET after receiving a call about the incident.

“Upon arrival, fire units found several patients suffering traumatic injuries. In addition to finding injured patients at the initial location, firefighters also encountered other injured patients outside of a fire station nearby,” emergency officials said.

“Fire crews immediately began triage to assess the extent of the patients’ injuries and for transport to the hospital,”

 “As a result of the incident, a total of 10 patients were injured. Four of the patients self-transported to local area hospitals. MDFR transported the remaining 6 patients by ground and air rescue to local trauma centers.”

FRENCH MONTANA ON THE INCIDENT ‘WRONG PLACE, WRONG TIME’

Initially, it was reported that the rapper was shooting a music video, however, he has since come out to shed more light. Taking to his Twitter account on Friday 06 January, the Unforgetable hitmaker released a statement where he broke his silence on the terrifying incident. He said they were “at the wrong place and time.”

“Last night, I was in Miami celebrating the release of my CB6 mixtape w/ friends at a local restaurant. We unfortunately were at the wrong place, at the wrong time when an incident took place that left people hurt. Our thoughts & prayers are w/ the victims & families at this time,” he captioned the post.

French Montana’s have expressed their relief that he was not injured and wished those who have been hurt following the incident, a speedy recovery in the comments section.
