EC man allegedly stabs girlfriend to death and commits suicide
A man from the Eastern Cape allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death and later committed suicide. It is not yet clear what the cause is.

The Sterkspruit detectives in the Eastern Cape are investigating a murder and inquest docket after a 33-year-old man allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death then committed suicide
The incident reportedly happened on Wednesday, 7 September at Entsimekweni admin area.
EASTERN CAPE MAN KILLS GIRLFRIEND AND COMMITS SUICIDE
According to police, it is alleged that on 7 September 2022 at about 13:00, the SAPS at Sterkspruit received a call and proceeded to the Entsimekweni admin area.
Upon their arrival, they found a 23-year-old deceased female in the kitchen with several stab wounds on her upper body. On further investigation, the body of a 33-year-old man was found in the bedroom, where he committed suicide. It is alleged that both the deceased were staying together.
The acting District Commissioner, Brig Asogran Naidoo has condemned the tragic incident.
WOMAN KILLED BY EX-PARTNER WHO COULDN’T MOVE ON
In a separate incident, a 26-year-old man from KwaZulu-Natal committed suicide after allegedly killing his 29-year-old ex-girlfriend because he could not move on with his life.
Their bodies were discovered by members of the community in their wood and iron home in Ezimangweni, Mawothi in KZN in June this year.
According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) , by the time officers and medics arrived, a large crowd had already gathered around the house.
The body of the 26-year-old man was located hanging by a nylon rope tied to a rafter. The female was discovered on the floor.
She reportedly sustained multiple stab wounds to her chest and neck. They both showed no signs of life and were declared deceased on scene.
“A letter written in isiZulu stipulating the reason for the murder/suicide was located in the house.
“It was allegedly written by the man who explained that the female was his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child. She had ended their relationship however he was unable to move on. He asked to meet her at his home yesterday afternoon when he murdered her before taking his own life.”

Their child was not present at the time of the incident, reportedly.
