While Julius Malema has threatened repeatedly since 2020 that the EFF will march South Africa’s richest man Johann Rupert’s properties, it has not yet happened.

MALEMA HAS BEEN VERY VOCAL ABOUT THIS PLANNED MARCH

But on Friday, the EFF confirmed that the march is planned for next week.

EFF has vowed to take its grievances with Johann Rupert to the next level next week. The party plans to march on his estates in the Western Cape and Mpumalanga.

These marches to South Africa’s richest man Johann Rupert’s properties in the Western Cape and Mpumalanga is, their attempt to register its “disdain for the arrival of white settlers in South Africa on April 6, 1652

”In order to register our disdain for the arrival of white settlers in South Africa on April 6, 1652, which is the day when the problems of Africans began, the EFF will engage in a confrontation with Johann Rupert by marching to the stolen land he claims to own in the Western Cape and Mpumalanga,” the party said.

Rupert owns the L’Ormains wine estate in Franschhoek in the Western Cape and the Leopard Creek Golf Estate on the banks of the Crocodile River and bordering the Kruger National Park near Malalane in the Nkomazi local municipality in Mpumalanga.

RUPERTS OWNS LAND IN THE WESTERN CAPE AND MPUMALANGA

Social media users had mixed reactions to the confirmation of the march.

Some asked Malema why he bought land if he promised they would get it back for free.

In an interview last year, Malema told the public that his family had won a previous land claim – securing them a ‘very huge property’.

DID MALEMA PAY FOR HIS FARM IN LIMPOPO?

According to the 40-year-old, it came at the expense of white occupants, who allegedly had to make way for the Malemas. Needless to say, the CIC of the Red Berets is absolutely beaming with his slice of redistributed land.

“We have a family farm that we claimed land and we won that land successfully – that is where my great grandfather is buried. So, we are doing a lot of things there. We are farming. I don’t have 500 goats but there are a lot of animals there. I will invite you to go and see it, it is a very huge property we took from white people!”
